New Network Services agreement anticipated to save more than £50m

Network Services agreement

A new agreement for Network Services is anticipated to deliver savings in excess of £50 million for departments and the public sector. The new deal will provide simplified access to network and telecommunications services, replacing the existing PSN Services, PSN Connectivity and Telephony Services agreements.

The agreement was developed with significant customer and supplier engagement to provide innovative, outcome based solutions. The multiple lot and supplier structure gives flexibility and choice for customers, with options including direct award through an online catalogue or further competition. Thirty-one percent of the suppliers are small or medium sized businesses, with over 20% of the total believed to be new to government agreements, opening up the market to new suppliers and maximising competition.

The new agreement will be available for use in early August. Further details will follow shortly.
