In order to carry out the work lane closures will be in place on the A69 on each side of the roundabout referred to as Bridge End roundabout (Hexham) and Styford roundabout (Corbridge), from 6pm to 8am each night when the work starts on 17 August.

The work is being carried out during the evening to minimise the impact for drivers, and will be completed by 16 October.

Highways England project manager Kyle Maylard said:

The new lights are more eco-friendly and will also improve light pollution. The work will be carried out during the night to minimise the impact on drivers.
