The Secretary of State for Wales David Jones has presented the Wales Office apprentices with their NVQ Level 2 certificates in Business and Administration today, 12 March 2013.

The Wales Office, like many businesses and other government departments, is committed to the Apprenticeship programme.

Our apprentices Minhaj Miah, 18, from Tower Hamlets and Paul Fonceca, 22, from Penge, South London were hired at the end of 2011. Since then, they have worked in Finance and Corporate Services respectively, and having achieved NVQ Level 2, they are now working towards their Level 3 certificate.

The Secretary of State for Wales David Jones said:

I am fully supportive of the Apprenticeship programme we have running at the Wales Office. We are one of the smallest government departments, however we are committed to providing excellent work opportunities.

Through the programme, we have been able to offer Paul and Minhaj a solid foundation for the future and it is my pleasure to present them with their NVQ Level 2 certificates. I know that they have worked incredibly hard to achieve these.
