From 28 to 30 May, a delegation from Mongolia visited the UK in order to share knowledge and gain experience of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). The areas discussed included: hospital reform; primary health care reform; and health care financing.

This visit by the Mongolian delegation followed an outward visit by a UK health delegation in November 2012. Both visits represent an important step towards sharing valuable information and expertise in the health sector. They also pave the way for further exchanges and opportunities for UK-Mongolia cooperation on healthcare issues.

The Mongolia delegation consisted of: Ms G. Uyanga, Member of Parliament; Mr S. Ganbaatar, Member of Parliament; D. Oyunchimeg, Director, Public Administration Department, Ministry of Health; Ts. Tsolmongerel, Director, Policy and Planning Department, Ministry of Health; D. Ganchimeg, Referent to the Mongoilan Government Cabinet Secretariat; O.
