Mitre Linen celebrated its 70th anniversary with a visit from The Secretary of State for Wales.

Mitre Linen, the trusted British supplier to leading luxury and boutique hotels, celebrated its 70th anniversary with a visit from The Secretary of State for Wales.
The Minister toured Mitre’s headquarters in Merthyr Tydfil and met some of the 95 people employed by the company including new Managing Director Jim Mangan.
Mitre has been working within the hospitality industry since 1946 consistently providing beautiful linen, towelling and soft furnishings. As well as hotels, the company’s customers include universities, hospitals and laundries.
Its products can be spotted in prestigious London 5 star hotels including The Ritz, The Grosvenor House Hotel and The Wellesley. It also has many customers overseas in Portugal, France, America, China, Hong Kong and the UAE.
The company unveiled its biggest ever catalogue earlier this year and is currently working on a 2017 catalogue that will feature new soft furnishings and, for the first time, an accessories range for hotels.
The company’s high level of service and quality earned it the honour of the Royal Warrant in 1955 and it has proudly been providing the Royal Household and the Royal Estate ever since.
Welsh Secretary, Alun Cairns, said:
