Minister for Africa visits South Sudan

Minister for Africa Henry Bellingham has started a two day visit to South Sudan.

Today he visited Bor in Jonglei State where he met some of the soldiers from the UN Mission for South Sudan (UNMISS). UNMISS is working with the Government of South Sudan to protect civilians in Jonglei. The Foreign Office Minister also met Governor of Jonglei State Kuol Manyang Juuk, and visited a local market where he was able to discuss life in Bor with the local people.

Tomorrow, the Minister will meet members of the Government in the South Sudan capital Juba.
