Minister for Africa "shocked" by murder of South Sudanese Minister
South Sudanese Minister Mr Jimmy Lemi Milla was murdered in Juba, South Sudan on 9 February.
On hearing the news, Minister for Africa Henry Bellingham said:
“I am shocked and saddened to hear of the killing of the South Sudan Minister, Mr Jimmy Lemi Milla and send my condolences to his family and friends. Violence has no place in Juba and this news is particularly sad coming so soon after the jubilant scenes of Monday when the people of Sudan celebrated the peaceful conclusion of the referendum. We will continue to work with government of southern Sudan to help build a stable and secure country.”
