Minister concerned by escalation of violence in the Middle East

Alistair Burt, Minister for the Middle East, has commented on Israeli air strikes on Gaza and rocket attacks by Palestinian groups on Israel.

“We are concerned by the escalation in violence over recent days and reports of civilian casualties.

“We condemn any actions in which civilians are hurt or killed. We call on all sides to show restraint.”
