This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The British Ambassador to Sweden, Paul Johnston, and the Chaplain of the English Church, the Reverend Nicholas Howe, have invited the Swedish Royal Family, friends of HRH Princess Lilian, and representatives of the British societies in Stockholm with which she was associated, to a service to celebrate the life of HRH Princess Lilian.

The service will be held at 2.00 p.m. on Sunday 8 September 2013, at the English Church, followed by a reception at the British Ambassador’s Residence.

There will be recollections of Princess Lilian during the service, and readings. There will also be two English hymns, which the congregation will sing, and two pieces of music, performed by the violinist Hugo Ticciati and musicians from Lilla Akademien. The organ will be played by Anton Holmer.

This is a private service. There will be no photo opportunities or media attendance within the church or at the reception.
