Making it easier to visit the UK

New, simpler visa application forms!

Residents of Peru wishing to visit the UK can now use new application forms, designed to make the application process much easier. The form:

  • is shorter, meaning it takes less time to complete;

  • uses customer information and dynamic technology to ask only relevant questions, arranged in a logical order;

  • includes translations of questions into a variety of languages, including Spanish (answers must still be in English);

  • is compatible with mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets;

  • allows customers to review, edit and download their partially completed form at any time during the process, before submitting it.

  • displays the application fee in the appropriate currency;

  • allows customers to apply, book an appointment at the Visa Application Centre and pay for their application through the standard or priority services.

Commenting on the change, Consul General Dominic Williams said:

“I am delighted that we are launching the new application form in Peru. We have listened to customer feedback, which suggested the old forms were too long and complex, and responded. This new form makes it much easier for people to apply for visas to the UK. I hope that it will encourage even more Peruvians to visit our beautiful country.”

The UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) application system for visits to the UK has been relaunched with a new name—Access UK. Following the successful launch in mainland China, UKVI is rolling it out worldwide, including to Peru, for customers applying for a Standard Visitor Visa, Visitor (Marriage & Civil Partnership), or Visitor (Permitted Paid Engagement) Visa. Over half a million visit visa customers have already used Access UK and feedback is really positive.
