Lord Bourne represents the UK Government at Tata Steel task Force
Lord Bourne: "We will continue to work closely to support steel workers and their families across the country."
Wales Office Minister Lord Bourne will today (22 Feb) represent the UK Government at the third meeting of the Tata Steel Task Force.
The Task Force was created with the aim to identify and oversee the practical actions that can be taken to support employees affected by the job losses announced at Tata Steel last month.
Wales Office Minister Lord Bourne said:
The Tata Steel Task Force was set up to stand shoulder to shoulder with the steel community and help secure a brighter future following these challenging times.
The UK Government is taking action to support the sector through cutting energy costs, government procurement and EU emissions regulations.
We will continue to work closely to support steel workers and their families across the country.
