Legal Aid Provider Survey 2026
We have launched a survey for all providers who currently hold a live legal aid contract. The survey opened on 27 April 2026 and will close on 1 June 2026.
Help us improve our understanding of legal aid capacity and demand by sharing your knowledge and experience.
This survey will help the Ministry of Justice and the LAA develop a more detailed understanding of market capacity and demand for legal aid services. Insights gained from the survey will also highlight the current challenges in how we work with our providers.
We would appreciate your completion of the survey; the higher the participation rate, the more valuable the insights we can gather to improve the quality of our services.
How does the survey work?
Providers with a live legal aid contract received an email and link for each of their offices on 27 April 2026.
The emails were sent to the member of staff nominated by the firm to act as their named liaison between their firm and the LAA. The emails have been sent from the following email address ProviderSurvey@justice.gov.uk.
If did not receive your survey link on 27 April 2026, please ask your nominated liaison to check their junk/spam folder. If the link is not there, or you have any other queries relating to the survey, please contact the LAA Insights Team at the following email address ProviderSurvey@Justice.gov.uk.
