Applications to see next year’s Olympic Games must be submitted by 26 April
There are just a few days remaining for people to apply for their chance to be at next year’s Olympic Games.
The London 2012 ticketing website, which opened in mid-March, will close at 11:59pm on Tuesday 26 April.
Following the end of the application process, tickets will be allocated for sessions for the 26 sports taking place across the country. For sessions where demand exceeds the number of available tickets, London 2012 will use an automated ballot to ensure the fairest possible allocation of tickets on a session-by-session basis.
The public has been warned only to purchase tickets through official sources, which are listed on the London 2012 ticketing website.
Tickets for the Paralympic Games, which are now less than 500 days away, will go on sale on 9 September 2011 and tickets for the London 2012 Festival will go on sale later in the year.
