Trade & Investment Minister Lord Green visited Thailand on 13 June as part of his two week Southeast Asian tour. Foster & Partners, Benoy, Qinetiq, Mott MacDonald, The Met Office, Lloyd’s Register and DLA Piper were among the UK companies that spoke about UK experiences and expertise to an audience of 200+ company and government decision makers. The seminar, which was part of UKTI Thailand’s HVO strategy to secure business from Thailand’s £46bn infrastructure upgrade, has already generated a number of new leads for the participating UK companies.

Lord Green also met with Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt to discuss opportunities to enhance existing cooperation between the UK and Thailand in the rail sector. Both Ministers agreed to move forward with a transport MoU and set up a joint working group on UK-Thai cooperation.
