Improved road surface for drivers along A64 in Staxton
Drivers will benefit from an improved road surface on the A64 following overnight resurfacing work which is scheduled to take place in Staxton near Scarborough.
Contractors for Highways England will be resurfacing a quarter of a mile of the A64 from its junction with Main Street to the roundabout where it meets the A1039 from Tuesday 29 September.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place to enable the work to be carried out, between 8pm and 6am.
Highways England’s project manager, Sujad Hussain said:
We are carrying out this improvement work at night to minimise disruption to road users. It’s essential that the work takes place so that drivers can benefit from smoother and safer journeys.
