Have your say in our 2026 stakeholder survey
We're asking stakeholders across the planning sector to share their views to help us keep improving.
The Planning Inspectorate has launched its 2026 stakeholder survey, and we are inviting everyone across the planning sector to take part.
This is our third annual survey. Your responses will help us understand what matters most to you, how we are performing against our values, and where we can continue to improve.
How to take part
The survey takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
Take the 2026 stakeholder survey.
The deadline for responses is 16 April 2026.
Who we want to hear from
We want to hear from a wide range of voices - local planning authorities, planning agents, developers, professional bodies, and members of the public. If you work in or alongside the planning system, your perspective is valuable to us.
Why your views matter
At the Planning Inspectorate we are committed to working with impartiality, fairness and openness, and to delivering excellent customer service. Our stakeholder survey is one of the most important ways we test whether we are living up to those values in practice.
Last year, 258 stakeholders shared their views with us - double the number from the year before.
