The video has been delivered to the England World Cup squad in South Africa today, Thursday 10 June 2010, and was watched by the England team.

England team captain Steven Gerrard said:

All the players are aware of what is going on back home and all the support we are getting, and we have also watched the DVD very recently from the guys over in Afghanistan, which was very inspiring and very touching, and now it is the time for the players to deliver. Everyone is behind us.

The light-hearted video shows troops throughout Camp Bastion in Helmand province passing their best wishes to the team.

The video shows personnel in their work places and also during their downtime enjoying a kick around. Scenes from the dining hall, flight line and the military working dogs unit provide a flavour of the environment in Camp Bastion as the England squad prepares to compete for glory in the World Cup.

The final editing of the video was carried out by the British Forces Foundation and Editworks, and was delivered to the England squad in South Africa earlier today by Sir Dave Richards of the Football Association.
