Gauke Hears Local Views on Corporation Tax as Consultation Period Nears Closure

David Gauke Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury has chaired an event in Belfast to hear local views on the Treasury consultation on Rebalancing the Northern Ireland Economy on the eve of the close of the consultation period.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

David Gauke said: ‘Thers has been a good response so far and this consultation has clearly engaged people in Northern Ireland’

Secretary of State Owen Paterson, First Minister Peter Robinson, deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness, Finance Minister Sammy Wilson and Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Arlene Foster shared the platform with the Exchequer Secretary where around 35 representatives from the local business community, voluntary and community sectors, trade unions and associated stakeholders had the opportunity to put forward their positions.

The consultation closes on Friday 8 July 2011
