Foreign Secretary William Hague met President Park of South Korea in Seoul on Thursday 17 October. After the meeting he said:

I am delighted to have met President Park today. Under her leadership, I’m confident the long and close relationship between our countries can continue to grow. I offered the UK’s full support for her efforts to build mutual trust and stability on the Korean Peninsula, as well as Korea’s positive regional and international role, including in conflict zones around the world and in the G20. We discussed the President’s vision for the creative economy and her admiration for the UK’s unrivalled strength in that sector. We agreed there are many ways in which we can deepen and grow our economic ties. I look forward to seeing President Park again in London next month during her State Visit.
