Foreign Secretary and Secretary of State for Defence attend the third Australia-UK Ministerial Consultations

The third Australia-UK Ministerial Consultations (AUKMIN III) highlighted the importance and strength of the bilateral relationship between Australia and the UK.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Minister for Foreign Affairs Kevin Rudd, Minister for Defence Stephen Smith, Foreign Secretary William Hague and Defence Secretary Liam Fox met for the third Australia-UK Ministerial Consultations (AUKMIN III) at HMAS Watson in Sydney on 18 January 2011.

AUKMIN III highlighted the importance and strength of the deep and longstanding bilateral relationship between Australia and the UK and its capacity to address contemporary global and regional challenges. AUKMIN consultations were previously held in the UK in 2006 and 2008.
