Foreign Office Minister saddened by loss of life in Indian ferry boat disaster

Foreign Office Minister Jeremy Browne has offered condolences to those affected by the sinking of a ferry on the Brahmaputra River in Assam.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Speaking today the Foreign Office Minister said:

“I was very saddened to hear of the lives lost following the sinking of a ferry on the Brahmaputra River in Assam, India. On behalf of the British Government I extend my deepest condolences to those affected and their families. My thoughts are with the people of Assam and India as they come to terms with this tragedy.”
