Foreign Office Minister condemns bomb attack in Lebanon

Minister for the Middle East Alistair Burt has commented on the bomb attack in Lebanon.

Mr Burt said:

“I condemn yesterday’s bomb attack on an Italian UNIFIL convoy in Lebanon. My thoughts are with the victims of this attack and their families. UNIFIL plays a vital and positive role in maintaining peace and security in southern Lebanon through its mandate in support of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and needs to be afforded freedom of movement and the security necessary for it to do so.”
