The Minister for the Middle East and North Africa discussed the common issues that UK and France face.
Alistair Burt, FCO Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, was in Paris on 27 March for a series of meetings with the French government.
Mr Burt stressed the warm bilateral relationship with France and the UK and France’s close cooperation. Mr Burt’s talks focused primarily on Syria but also covered many of the other countries in the region and the Middle East peace process. Mr Burt praised the decisive action taken by France in Mali.
