Downing Street energy use - March update

We are on track to exceed our carbon emissions target - over the period May to December we cut emissions by 10.4%.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

Last May the Prime Minister made a commitment that central government departments would reduce their carbon emissions by 10% over the next 12 months.

Between May and March we achieved a 9.55% cut in carbon emissions from Downing Street.

100% of the Prime Minister’s Office electricity supply is on a ‘green’ tariff, generated from renewable sources.
