DFID research: Appointment of a Strategic Advisory Team for the ESRC/DFID Joint Scheme on International Development (Poverty Alleviation)

The team will work with the Scheme funders to secure and enhance the impact of research funded under the Scheme on policy and practice.

The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and DFID are pleased to announce the appointment of a Strategic Advisory Team for the ESRC/DFID Joint Scheme for International Development (Poverty Alleviation). The team will work with the Scheme funders to secure and enhance the impact of research funded under the Scheme on policy and practice. The team is led by Professor Paul van Gardingen, UNESCO Chair in International Development & Director of the Edinburgh International Development Centre, with Professor Roger Jeffery, Director of the Centre for South Asian Studies University of Edinburgh, and Professor James Smith, Director of the Centre of African Studies and Director of the Edinburgh Global Development Academy.
