Philip Dunne addressed VIP guests from the Ministry of Defence (MOD), the DECA Board and industry at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibtion, saying:

DECA has been strategically retained within MOD as an Executive Agency to provide access to support for current and future MOD platforms across defence.

DECA is one of the jewels in the MOD crown and is a world leading electronic and components business. We want DECA to maintain its focus on supporting MOD and grow its capability to become the UK’s avionics hub in Europe.

As a new trading entity, DECA has a bright future as the assured MOD provider for avionics expertise on current and future platforms.

I would like to extend my congratulations to DECA’s Chief Executive Geraint Spearing, DECA’s new Chairman Alex Jablonowski and all DECA employees and wish them every success for the future.
