Commenting on the piece of news on UK visas published in Al Seyassah newspaper of 11 September, the British Embassy in Kuwait issued the following statement:
The British Embassy in Kuwait would like to clarify that the UK Government keeps all visa arrangements under constant review to take account of changing circumstances. There is currently no change to the existing visa arrangements. Any changes will be communicated at the appropriate time. Visas issued by the British Embassy for travel to United Kingdom can only be used to enter the United Kingdom. Kuwaitis wishing to travel to other European countries should apply for a Schengen visa. Schengen visas are not valid for travel to the United Kingdom. We continue to see very high visa demand from Kuwaiti nationals and are happy to be able to welcome so many visitors to the United Kingdom, therefore we would recommend that all applicants apply for their visas as early as possible in advance of travel in order to reduce the risk of last minute delays.
