Change of British High Commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

Mr Arthur Snell has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

He succeeds Mr Eric Jenkinson CVO OBE who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment.

Mr Snell will take up his appointment during May 2011.

On his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Mr Snell has said “Trinidad and Tobago is a key partner in the region for the UK and has an important role within CARICOM. I am very much looking forward to taking up the position of High Commissioner and to continuing to build on the strong historical ties between Britain and Trinidad and Tobago.”
