British gardens bloom in Moscow
Deputy Ambassador Moscow Denis Keefe opened an exhibition during British Day at the Moscow Flower Show.

It included an exhibition of some of the best photographs of the Chelsea Flower Show spanning the past 100 years, marking its jubilee.
Among the gardens he saw was that of British designer and TV presenter Chris Beardshaw whose work was made up of plants from Central Russia. Mr Keefe said the layout represented a typically English garden.

Another was “A la Mode Dining” from another British designer Caspian Robertson whose garden has already won him a gold medal from the Royal Gardens Association at the Malvern Autumn Show in England. It was unusual in that visitors could taste the exhibits.

Mr Keefe said that as the UK-Russia Year of Culture next year would offer yet more opportunities for strengthening relations, with Moscow Flower Show an excellent example of the partnership.
