British Ambassador Meets with CCIC to Strengthen Trade and Investment Ties
The British Ambassador to Honduras held a meeting with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortés (CCIC), in San Pedro Sula.

Ambassador Juliana Correa and the President of the CCIC, Karim Qubain, discussed opportunities for expanding bilateral trade, improving competitiveness, and fostering investment between the United Kingdom and Honduras.
The British Ambassador highlighted the strong performance of Honduran exports—particularly seafood, coffee, and agricultural products—and expressed interest in expanding British exports of pharmaceuticals, industrial machinery, and refined petroleum. She praised the CCIC’s efforts to support small and medium-sized enterprises (MIPYMES) through initiatives like the Modelo Integral de Servicios Empresariales (MISE) and the Portal Empresarial.
Both parties agreed on the need for constructive dialogue between the private sector and government to address economic challenges and unlock new opportunities. The Ambassador reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting Honduras’s development through trade, cooperation, and investment, and welcomed CCIC’s role as a proactive and professional partner.
The meeting concluded with a shared vision to deepen commercial ties and explore new avenues for collaboration.
