On 5 June, the Monteverdi Chamber Choir gave a concert in Arequipa’s Basilica Cathedral of “Dixit Dominus” by Georg Friedrich Handel and “Missa In Honorem” by Shane Woodborne.

The event was organized by the Monteverdi Chamber Choir and the British Honorary Consulate in Arequipa and was attended by HM Ambassador in Peru, James Dauris and his wife, Helen.

On behalf of the Archbishop, Father Peter O’Brien, Rector of the San Jeronimo Seminary in Arequipa, welcomed around 160 guests - who consisted of local authorities, sponsors, members of the British community in Arequipa and the general public - to the Cathedral.

James Dauris, who was on his farewell visit to Arequipa before leaving Peru in July, replied with a vote of thanks.
