Work to reconstruct the footpath along Ulverston Road between Lindal and Red Syke will take place over 3 weeks from Monday (6 July). The first 4 days of the scheme will require temporary traffic lights along short sections of the route between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day. All other work will be done overnight during week nights only, between 8pm and 6am.

Highways England project manager Peter Gee said:

Reconstructing the footpath will provide a better, safer environment for pedestrians and we will also be carrying out some general wear and tear repairs at the same time.

The use of temporary traffic lights will allow us to provide a temporary footpath on the other side of the road while the improvement is delivered.
