The bands were watched by a crowd of 56 000 people and by 100 million people on the Internet and TV.

The traditional participants of the Festival are the units of the leading Russian and foreign military music bands.

This year British bands were represented by the Massed Pipes and Drums (1st Royal Tank Regiment, 7th Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland, Scottish Universities Officers’ Training Corps) and the civilian band of pipes and drums (The Pryde of East Lothian). 12 countries were representing the cultural exchange between the nations.
