Applications invited for Crown appointment: Isle of Man

The position of Lieutenant Governor will become vacant in April 2016 on the retirement of the present office-holder.

Applications are now invited for the position of Lieutenant Governor of the Isle of Man. The Lieutenant Governors are Her Majesty’s personal representatives in the Crown Dependencies which are the Bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey and the Isle of Man. They are selected under the principles of open competition and are appointed by The Queen on the recommendation of the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, acting as Privy Counsellor.

Further information about the role, the selection process and an application pack may be found on the Isle of Man government website. The closing date for applications is 15 September 2015 at 5.00pm.
