Anniversary Statement: Robinson R44 II, G-CFNF
Fatal accident, near Bentley, South Yorkshire on 30 October 2025
This statement provides an update on the AAIB investigation into the accident to Robinson R44 II, which occurred near Bentley, South Yorkshire on 30 October 2025.
The pilot of G-CFNF entered autorotation after hearing a loud bang accompanied by a lateral vibration. During the landing, the helicopter rolled over leading to one fatality.
The investigation into this accident is complete and a final report will be published in due course.
