On 14 April 2015, Ambassador Ruairí O’Connell met the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga.

This morning I presented my credentials to President Jahjaga. I’m honoured and delighted to return as Ambassador. Last time I was here, I helped Kosovo to build the institutions of a democratic state. I was honoured to witness Kosovo’s independence. The next three years will hold big challenges but I’m excited to be working with friends old and new, from communities across Kosovo, to address them together. Today I also met the Prime Minister and other political leaders and I’m looking forward over the coming weeks and months to meeting and hearing from Kosovo citizens from across Kosovo’s communities and regions.
