Ambassador Julia Longbottom presents Honorary MBE to Mr Kuwahara Kazumasa
At a ceremony at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Tokyo on 5 March 2024, Julia Longbottom, the British Ambassador to Japan, presented Mr Kuwahara Kazumasa, former Special Advisor to International Nuclear Services Japan, with the award of Honorary Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
The Honorary MBE was awarded by His Majesty King Charles III in 2023, in recognition of Mr Kuwahara’s exceptional contribution to furthering UK-Japan cooperation in the civil nuclear sector.
Kazumasa Kuwahara has had a long and distinguished career dedicated to close collaboration between the UK and Japan in the civil nuclear industry. The UK-Japan relationship in civil nuclear continues to deepen and grow, and Mr. Kuwahara’s long service to the UK has played a significant part in making this possible.
