Amended news release: Overnight closures to take place on the A160 Humber Road

The A160 will be closed overnight next week to prepare for the construction of a new road bridge at Town Street in Killingholme.

The eastbound carriageway of Humber Road between Habrough Road Roundabout and Eastfield Road, South Killingholme, will be closed overnight between 8pm to 6am on Wednesday 13 May.

The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight between 8pm to 6am on Thursday 14 May. Following each closure narrow lanes and a reduced 40mph speed limit will be put in place.

Diverted eastbound traffic for the Port of Immingham will stay on A180 leaving at Stallingborough roundabout. From there drivers will follow the A1173 Kings Road before joining the A1173 Manby road to the Port of Immingham.

Westbound traffic leaving the Port of Immingham will follow the A1173 Manby Road, the A1173 Kings Road, before re- joining the A180 at Stallingborough.

The new bridge will provide vehicle and pedestrian access between the two areas of South Killingholme.

The works are part of an improvement programme designed to provide better access to the port and the surrounding area.
