Rapid responses to changing manufacturing requirements

If you’re a business looking for funding in the area of flexible manufacturing, Innovate UK is investing up to £7 million in a collaborative research and development competition. This is co-funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council

The aim of the competition is to encourage innovations that will enable UK manufacturers to react quickly and efficiently to changes in raw materials, customer requirements and manufacturing resources.

We are seeking proposals from a wide range of industries. Projects must be collaborative and business-led, with at least two businesses in each collaborative consortium. A business winning funding can expect to receive 50-60% of their project costs.

Each project should include project partners, such as research organisations, system integrators and businesses within the supply chain, as well as a proposed end-user.

We expect projects to range in size from total costs of £500k to £1.5m.

To apply, you must first register by 28 January 2015.
