Responsibilities
The Parliamentary Secretary is responsible for supporting the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister and the Minister for the Cabinet Office on coordination and delivery of cross-government priorities.
In particular, the Minister’s responsibilities are to support the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister and the Minister for the Cabinet Office on:
- Public service reform
- Government people group
- Counter-fraud
- UK Statistics Authority sponsorship
- Office for Impact Economy

Satvir Kaur MP
Satvir Kaur was appointed Parliamentary Secretary in the Cabinet Office on 7 September 2025. She was elected as the MP for Southampton Test in July 2024.
Satvir Kaur was on maternity leave from 7 September 2025 until 22 February 2026, with a phased return from January 2026.
