Pregnancy Loss Review Group

The review was set up to consider whether the law should be changed to allow registration of pregnancy losses that take place before gestation of 24 weeks.

Pregnancy Loss Review

The Pregnancy Loss Review published its report on 22 July 2023.

It made 173 recommendations, which are intended to support the government and the NHS in creating a forward-looking approach to improve the safety and care experience for all those who have a pre-20-week baby loss.

Government response

The government response to the independent Pregnancy Loss Review sets out the immediate actions government will be taking in the short term in response to the recommendations made in the review.
