The reserve forces call out and recall financial assistance regulations
Consultation description
When a member of the reserve forces is mobilised they and their employer are entitled to claim financial assistance under regulations (SI 2005/859) for additional costs incurred in relation to mobilisation. During the development of the White Paper ‘Reserves in the Future Force 2020: valuable and valued’, it was noted that consideration should be given to whether the process of claiming financial assistance could be improved and whether that assistance should be expanded.
Defence is therefore seeking your organisation’s view on proposed amendments to both the ‘employer’s award’ and the ‘reservist’s award.
