Seeks views and evidence on how to reform the existing heavy goods vehicle road user levy to encourage better road use and improve environmental performance.

Call for evidence description

Call for evidence on how to reform the heavy goods vehicle levy so that it:

• rewards hauliers that plan their routes efficiently
• incentivises efficient use of roads
• improves environmental performance, including air quality and carbon emissions

We want to engage closely with industry and individuals to develop these proposals.

This was announced at Spring Budget 2017.
