Consultation description
The CMA is reviewing the Rail, Road and Inland Waterway Transport Block Exemption Regulation (‘RRIWTBER’) to inform its recommendation to government on whether to vary or revoke it and, if revocation is recommended, whether to replace it with a new block exemption order.
The CMA’s review of the RRIWTBER
The CMA’s review will assess whether the RRIWTBER is fit for purpose and will take account of any specific features of the UK economy and the interests of UK businesses and consumers.
The CMA welcomes responses to this Call for Inputs, in particular from:
- businesses in the rail, road and/or inland waterways sectors with operations in the UK, in particular those that rely on the RRIWTBER
- law firms and other advisers advising businesses on the application of the RRIWTBER to agreements in the UK
- industry associations
- consumer organisations with an interest in the UK market

If your response contains any information that you regard as sensitive and that you would not wish to be published, please provide at the same time a non-confidential version for publication on our webpages which omits that material and which explains why you regard it as sensitive.
