Consultation description

We want to know what you think about the proposed guidance for developing compensatory measures. We are particularly keen to hear from marine industries affected by the consenting process on how applicable and feasible the guidance is. We have developed this guidance to assist:

  • regulatory bodies
  • statutory nature conservation bodies
  • other public authorities whose functions may affect MPAs
  • marine developers

The proposed guidance aims to help these groups consider how to reduce and mitigate impacts on the marine environment within MPAs and, when applicable, how to deliver compensatory measures.
