The majority (65%) of respondents to our consultation supported our proposal to conduct a single monitoring visit of providers that require improvement, rather than support and challenge visits.

Consultation description

Ofsted is seeking your views on proposed changes to inspection visits to further education and skills providers who are judged to require improvement.

We currently carry out support and challenge visits to providers that require improvement, resulting in unpublished letters. We propose instead to carry out a single monitoring visit, which will result in a published report with progress judgements.

The consultation document and questionnaire

The consultation document provides background information on the proposal. You can access the consultation questionnaire in 2 formats:

• the Word version of the questionnaire can be filled in by hand or on your computer
• the PDF version of the questionnaire can be filled in by hand
