Detail of outcome

This is a report on the outcomes of the consultation about the arrangements for the inspection of children’s homes. We consulted on four key proposals between 13 December 2013 and 18 February 2014 and we received 126 written responses. We also value the thought-provoking contributions from children and young people. We are very appreciative of all the support and input we have had in developing these proposals.

Consultation description

This is a consultation document on proposals to inspect children’s homes. Ofsted seeks the widest possible range of views from those who have an interest in, or expertise relating to, children’s homes and provision for children looked after in order to ensure that the changes proposed take proper account of the needs and circumstances of all interested parties.

The closing date for the consultation is 21 February 2014.

We will be consulting with children and young people in January and February 2014.
