Following the call for evidence and further internal analysis, the Department for Transport (DfT) has concluded it will not take forward further changes to heavy vehicle testing.

Call for evidence description
The Department for Transport (DfT) is calling for the views of individuals, groups and organisations with a specific interest in roadworthiness assurance, such as:
- vehicle operators, leasers and other users
- vehicle manufacturers and their dealerships
- organisations or individuals that maintain vehicles
- organisations where testing is done (Authorised Testing Facilities)
- trade bodies representing those in the sectors
- motorists and other road users
- road safety organisations
