Competition is important for sustainable economic growth. Businesses need to find ways to do things better to compete with each other. When businesses don’t compete prices go up, quality falls and the less well-off are the hardest hit.

We will grow the number of people in our offices in Cardiff, Belfast and Edinburgh and open new offices in Manchester and Darlington. This will help us continue to get closer to people right across the UK. We will do more to understand the problems people face when buying and selling, to explain what we do and to help make markets work better for them.
