The response to the consultation summarises the main points made by respondents and provides the department’s response to these.

We’ve published an amended version of the Ending liability scheme at the same time as this the response. The amendment allows the department to select cases for closure from Segments 3 and 4 simultaneously.

This consultation asks respondents to give their views on our proposal to close partially and fully compliant Child Support Agency (CSA) cases in Segments 3 (managed off the main computer system) and 4 (managed on system) simultaneously.

The consultation relates to the Ending liability scheme (May 2014) which sets out the general principles of how cases will be selected for closure.
